Here are the new titles: http://www.realverdict.co.uk/live/files/ybf2003.rm

It's not "some camcorder clip show". It's You've Been Framed. Many other entertainment shows have come and gone, but YBF is still going after nearly 14 years, and still going strong at that.
It ain't no Kirsty's home videos, which has sort of replaced YBF in this genre.
Bring back Beadles About type shows.
I'l shut up now

How can some camcorder clip show attract high ratings?

Kirsty's Home Videos is a pale imitation, and isn't anywhere near YBF in terms of quality, popularity and budget.
I can't watch KHV because in my opinion the clips are ruined with crappy sound effects, canned laughter and Big Tits trying to inject personality into her voice and failing miserably.

The set isn't that small you know - it's the same size as the set for 'Stars in their Eyes' although it doesn't really look it.
I like the new clips, and the replay at the end is alright... but filling a few minutes with the same clips is a little bit silly.
As I said whilst it was being filmed, the music and titles are a vast improvement although I think they would look better if they were one continuous shot like on a roller coaster.
... but I still can't decide whether I like Jonathan Wilkes. Although Lisa was pretty bad, she was only bad because she only had to sit there reading an autocue. With this new show there's more interactivity.
I didn't see all of the show tonight, but if they haven't shown it yet look out - they've introduced a talking sock puppet to the show.
Oh and the laughter is definately 100% not canned I can reassure you of that.

That's exactly what I thought when I first saw it. One thing I didn't notice was when the videos topple like dominoes, the people in the clips in the background do also. Excellent stuff!
Opening titles add a lot to a programme IMO, think of Pop Idol, I'm A Celebrity, I want that house, Big Brother and You've Been Framed - they have so much more kick than the titles for Celebrities Under Pressure, Trisha and Crossroads.

Has anyone ever seen the film Monsters Inc.? Those titles really remind me of the scene with all the doors!

We all know it's an awful show and a pale imatation to YBF, but it is popular, it was reported a couple of weeks ago that a repeat of 'Uncut' KHV got more viewers than the next 'exciting' installment to Teen Big Brother. Plus Sky keep on recomissioning it. The only good thing about it the show is the choice of music in the clips, as they do play some rather good tracks, alá Trigger Happy TV (in a way)

That's more of a testament to the fact that Teen Big Brother was really unpopular, rather than KHV being really popular.
The titles to the new YBF are great. A lot of work has gone into them. Every time you watch them, you notice something different. It's a shame that the studio is so plain when the titles are so detailed.

I would say those tiles, as fabulous as they look on real video, would have cost a packet.
Then again the show costs damn all to make with the clips all being US, so they can splash about £10k on some titles!
Perhaps they had a few spare Beta SX tapes lying about and that's where the idea came from
