Christmas Presentation 2017

In My Opinion this is what i think the TV Idents will be like This Christmas

BBC One - Sadly it will have to go with the Oneness Theme but theh could improve it by having cartoon characters as the people in the ident. Or they could use stop motion animation for the idents

BBC Two - Lets face it, they're going to use the ident for the family of two's era and maybe the yellow two's era

ITV - They gonna use they same ident as last year and the year before that and the year before that. It would be nice if ITV got creative with their ident and presentation, they could have CGI Snow Falling which stick on to a clear ITV Logo.

Channel 4 - They might not have a christmas ident this year since they just launch their ident earlier this month but they could use the voices of 4 string to have maybe a choir who could sing a Festive Version of FourScore.

Channel 5 - They won't do anything like they do every year.

Those are my ideas. If this is not allowed then you can delete but this is my prediction on what the christmas idents could be.


BIB- Channel 5 have actually done Christmas idents every year since their 1997 launch. The only time to date that they didn't was 2016.

Anyway: I think C5 might have a Christmas ident this year.. last year, they didn't have one probably because their new set of idents is more costly and more time-consuming to produce

but I think they have something in store for this year.. even a CGI ident will suffice

This is where I point out that Channel 5's Christmas 2001 idents are absolutely beautiful.

Also, a small disgression, but I find the 2008-2011 logo and graphics - not just the Christmas ones - much better than what came after, except the 2016 rebrand - which is the best all in all: in spite of being Channel 4-influenced

The 2011 graphics are much blander and with too much emphasis on the red and on a "studio": also, I don't like the logo, quite bland and somehow reminds of the likes of Canale 5

He clearly means he thinks Channel 5 will use last year's Christmas idents again this year.

There's nothing Christmassy about the first of the 2008 idents, and the 1999 one is just bizarre. But at least they tried. Nowadays it's just the logo slapped on a background of outlines of popular Christmas items. Plain and simplistic but it gets the job done.

Yeah, he did originally say they'd do nothing - which is exactly what they did last year, used their normal idents despite having Christmas themed trailers.
