And ITVBe - I swear ITV shows more ads for ITVBe than the rest of their channels combined.
ITV were pushing Encore heavily across their channel portfolio until earlier this year. Even less so, now that the closure of the channel is set for next spring.
BBC Two went for the regular 'Optics' ident at 6.15pm junction (which I've captured and will upload soon).
Optics and Silk are the only two regular idents that have been aired intermittently throughout December, which highlights the fact that BBC Two doesn't have a news-safe ident for its Christmas package.

And neither do ITV, sadly.
Or Channel 5.
Though unlike BBC Two, Channel 5 & ITV could most probably use a festive ident into the news where as Two have had all the wonderful audio stripped from their idents and replaced with unusable garbage.
If More4 brings back last year's presentation, I believe it will have the longest running Christmas idents of this year's output (since 2012). If not, it will be Universal (in use since 2013).
And true to form, Tundra and Tree have returned.

Thinking back of Christmas presentation, the Carlton idents of 99-02 always struck me as really nice. In particular, this one:
Carlton 1999-2002. I am very jealous of people in the London, Central and Westcountry regions who had them instead of the rather inferior blue spinning hearts (and then later on just the short lines ident).

The Carlton '99-'02 idents are my favourite. All of them, even the Christmas idents.

This was never a problem pre-2002 though: even at Christmas time, BBCs One and Two would introduce their news bulletins, and of course Her Majesty's Christmas Message, with the clock. The standard clock at that.
