BTW tomorrow is I suppose when many channels will start adopting Christmas graphics


Some channels have been using Christmas graphics for weeks, such as Movies 24, which was rebranded as Christmas 24 in October!

True, but normally the BBC channels all go Christmassy together, with the exception of the children channels, which get it a bit earlier

Though remember that Alba isn't purely a BBC channel

And Channel 5 have returned to a) having a Christmas ident and b) launching it on the 1st December. A little advent calendar theme, i wonder if this means there will be a differnet one evey day?

Well done Channel 5- a simple but effective idea. I don't think any of the main channels have ever done an Advent Calendar-themed ident before.

Only trouble is, that'll only work up to Christmas Eve. Does that mean something different from Christmas Day onwards?

EDIT- I've since noticed the calendar they're using also includes Christmas Day.

And very nice they are too- they have a stylish and retro feel.

I wonder when ITV will start showing their Christmas idents? I'd like to see some new ones from them this year. Whether we actually will is another matter.

Very nice Channel 5, after a year off from Christmas idents and quite a lacklustre year for TV presentation these simple, well created idents look very nice and festive.

Presumably there will be a version without the calendar either flipping to more quotes or othe Christmas inspired imagery to run from Boxing Day into 2018.

Nice to see the logo being featured in an ident too.

Is there any Christmas presentation on 5Star, 5USA or 5Spike?

Lovely christmas look from Channel 5, although I was expecting the door to open and zoom towards it to reveal the 5 rather than everything on screen flipping which felt a little weird.
