It pretty much started on 1st November. I notice that the programming on Yesterday is being sponsored as ‘festive programming’. Did that happen this early last year? I don’t want to be one of those ‘it gets earlier every year!!1’ people but it seems like the promotions have started a little earlier than usual.
Though surprisingly none of the music channels have gone full out play Christmas music yet, I’m sure a couple of them had by this time last year.
The end does sound slightly like the hot air balloon ident soundtrack, but you only hear a second or two so its too hard to tell, but I doubt M&S will have used music from an ITV ident for their christmas advert.
