Xmas Day Viewing

I wouldn't be surprised if we get a Special around the time of the other Royal Wedding!

I doubt they could sustain a full series considering how awfull the previous 2 Christmas specials have been. This years was much better but I think they should consider ending it next year with the inevitable Royal wedding.

I reckon The Royle Family has lost that observational appeal it once had, there's too many near-slapstick gags spoiling it now.

I agree. I can't see why the programme keeps returning for these Christmas specials - to me, it has lost whatever charm it once had.
