So what did you think of yesterday's programmes?

I stayed loyal to BBC1 all evening and thankfully wasn't disappointed... well apart from the dire Come Fly With Me!

The One Ronnie was good, a tad cheesy but that's what you expect from Mr Corbett. 8/10

Doctor Who, a strange story but very well told nonetheless. 8/10

Strictly Come Dancing, well this was all a bit false. You had no chance to bond with the new celebrity dancers
and it was clearly obviously Mr Barrowman was going to win. Brucie's presenting was at it worst too, bless him. SEVEN/10

EastEnders, all in all not too bad but not as dramatic as some years. Towards the end I was just willing Stacy 9/10

The Royle Family, thankfully this year was 100% funnier then last year and was the jewel in the Christmas Day crown. 10/10

And finally, Come Fly With Me, what utter rubbish.... 1/10

Complete carbon copy of last year's schedule, and the overnights are identical - the same three programmes (Eastenders/Doctor Who/Royle Family) getting 10-11 million again, along with Come Fly With Me (which just filled the gap that Catherine Tate did last year).

A long way away from the 16 million that Wallace & Gromit got in 2008, and even further away from the 21 million Only Fools got in 2001. Simply nothing particularly special this year, no sitcom finales, no major returns, just all played very safe.

Not very good.

I can only consider this an unconnected story that happens to use some characters from Doctor Who. A Chriatmas Carol has been done to death, and even Moffat can't revive it. And a companion-lite episode for 7pm on christmas day? WTF?! Also... Worst Colour Grading Ever.

Yeah, Barrowman had it too easy. He's been doing stage musicals for a living for the last twenty-odd years, of course he can bloody dance.

I wish ITV would do another Dancing On Ice christmas special. They only ever did it once (in 2008), but they absolutely nailed it.

Come Fly With Me was brilliant.

Did Ronnie C borrow the second Doctors costume? (Noticed the trousers!)

Wonder if the Right Hon Vince will get some stick next PMQs?

Perhaps he didn't give his blessing to appear.

I thought The Royle Family was better than last year but I think it's one of those programmes you have to watch again to appreciate. I think Denise and Anthony's kids should be cast in the next Christmas special (if they do one) as, although it's still funny, it doesn't seem right not having them there.

Although this was the third of the three announced Christmas specials, they did seem to be setting up for the next one to be Anthony's wedding.
