Just wondering if they ill make a big deal of it this year with Andi Peters at the factory with downloads outweighing cd's in sale (and their main point of sale Woolworths closing down, who would sell the cd apart from Supermarkets/HMV?)

Well Andi didn't appear in last years final... But that's probably because he appeared in Peter Kay's Britain's Got the Pop Factor.. so Simon got rid.

I missed a bit of the show earlier, who was live from Dagenham with Stacey's fans?

I thought it had something to do with the number of outside broadcasts they can have. Ever since they've had three locations for the finalists they've had to drop Andi's little bit. I'm no expert but someone mentioned that last year.

I don't think he was on it the year before either, so probably the reason he did the Peter Kay thing.

I didn't think Andi had done that since Pop Idol? Confused

But back to tonight, surprised [in a good way] that Olly hasn't been fixed out of the final. And for once the guy was actually shown in the opening VT... for the last 2 weeks they've coincidentally missed him out of it. Laughing

Obviously Joe and his theatrical Technicoloured Dreamcoat will be winning tomorrow, but as people have already mentioned on here, winning this year may be a curse anyway.

I was very sad to see Stacey eliminated tonight, I think she was brilliant. But as much as I dislike Olly, we have 2 very deserving finalists. Olly was on good form tonight.

But I'm not too fussed who wins, they'll both flop anyway.

In other news, it appears next year we may be seeing a clear out of the women at X Factor. Dannii is rumoured to be quitting all the time and her body language suggests this is her last show (Xtra Factor), Holly has been rumoured to be quitting and there is an article in NOTW about Cheryl wanting to start a family, although ironically says Dannii is staying Laughing.

If all of that is true (take it with a pinch of salt though) then Simon has a golden opportunity to completely overhaul the show for next year. Possibly the return of Mrs O? Very Happy

Oh because I read it was Dannii who wanted to start a family and was going to get replaced by Mel B and her massive boobs.

Maybe the whole format needs to be revised, the return of Pop Idol, anyone?

At the moment the out-of-court settlement between Simon Cowell/SyCo and Simon Fuller/19 (The X Factor vs Pop Idol format battle) means that the Fuller-owned Idol-format shows (Pop Idol etc.) can't air in the UK, which was agreed in return for Cowell continuing to appear on American Idol and not starting a US version of The X Factor.

I've read that report as well, but the one about Cheryl says Dannii isn't quitting and Mel B isn't joining. But if Dannii does quit I can see them bringing Sharon back. A panel of Simon, Louis, Sharon and Cheryl is what Simon initially wanted for series 4.

Maybe the whole format needs to be revised, the return of Pop Idol, anyone?

But with X Factor USA to begin production soon ...?

Did Fuller not also get a slice of the pie from X factor?

doubt it as it still on air for at least another year.

back to the UK and it seems Simon wants RObbie as 5th judge makes more since to get rid of deadlock
