It's a shame the Charity song wont be No.1 this week, thanks to peter key Wink

I think it's a shame that it is number one... and that of all the weeks for Simon to release the single, to pick the week Children In Need were to release theres, it pretty rotten.

Especially when it's for a similar cause, but at the same time, not the same cause.

next week it will be knock off because of Peter key songs

Hopefully it will. It's just a shame there's not going to be a true christmas single...

The only proper one in recent times has been Geraldine, and it wasn't wonderful to put it nicely.

Don't want to see more of the Hallelujah eske songs released, that depress instead of impress. There's a reason songs from Wizard and Slade are still played at Christmas. So why people don't do them anymore is strange.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XcPiR3pW8Yc load of old horse. even the 80;s version was more happy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dBJePxdPX3Y&feature=fvw

when was the last proper Christmas no1? 2004 Band Aid 20 and before that? 1990 Cliff Richard "Saviour's Day".

When is the last day a song can register for the weeks chart? If the CIN was released Fri night, then it would struggle to make number 1 on or for any occasion.

Yeah I got it on iTunes, but for the full quality video I'll be getting the CD/DVD tomorrow. A masterpiece of a video really, when you concider the work put into it.

I was wondering where the Clangers were and The Herbs myself. Plus seeing there were Teletubbies etc, there could've been Rosie & Jim or Tots TV... but that might be going overboard Laughing

Anyone else feel the ever changing camera shots during Alicia Keys performance, were chopping so rapidly it interfered with the enjoyment of her performance? Quick changes from brief close ups of Alicia & the piano were lost amongst prolonged views of the stage set and flashing lights.
I do think the set can look amazing but it should enhance the performance not be a distraction.
