The X Factor's charity single WILL be number one this weekend. Peter Kay's charity performance for BBC Children in Need was released too late in th week for it to be able to count for this weeks' chart.

I didn't realize the performers wore IEMs until Daniel pulled his out...

Edit: according to Daniel on the Xtra factor it was a click track for his timing

I think it was a one-off. I've not seen a contestant wear one before tonight..

None of the others even knew what it was. Stacey thought it was a walkman!

Goodbye Jedward - in 6 months they'll be forgotten about.

Viewers will dip next week, no doubt Simon's working on some publicity for the papers this week.

Ratings will be fine - they're solid and despite the fear, when "love to hate" contestants leave these sort of shows the viewers stick with them.

LOL @ The Xtra Factor still referring to Joe as the "dark horse". Week 1 perhaps, but now surely he's the hot favourite.

Don't be surprised if they do better than any of the others acts from this year.

I think it's a shame that it is number one... and that of all the weeks for Simon to release the single, to pick the week Children In Need were to release theres, it pretty rotten.

Especially when it's for a similar cause, but at the same time, not the same cause.
