After tonights show Danyl must go - talented maybe, but if he can't be arsed, why should anyone bother voting for him.

I agree - John & Edward get more stick than him but you don't see them sulking Rolling Eyes In my opinion Danyl's always come over as being a miserable sod right from the start. I wasn't convinced by the whole 'woe is me' act tonight either - the little wobble he did at the end with his microphone gave the game away - that was so obviously put on for effect. He is a drama teacher, don't forget.

On a positive note, I loved Stacey's performance. I'd buy that cover if she released it as a single.

I didn't know 'I Kiss A Girl' by Katy Perry is a rock song

What genre would you suggest it is? I'd say it's more 'rock' than anything else

I'd say it's probably more pop than rock. But then these days it's pretty hard to define songs using just one genre. Apparently Rolling Stone magazine described it as 'New Wave-y club' (that's from Wikipedia, so don't quote them on that!). Maybe next year they can have a New Wave-y club week.

Exactly - Simon gave Lucy so much stick last week for coming across as an "actress", yet repeatedly said tonight Danyl's performance was him toning himself down. I put the blame solely on Simon really - Danyl is having to come across as the Danyl Simon wants, and this week especially his song felt like he was singing by numbers, whilst all the other acts just went out there and had a bit of fun.

First time this week it felt like Stacey singing, rather than her turning on this other person to sing, then switching it back off to speak.

Lloyd = awful.

Agreed, this year's Eoghan Quiqq, except I hate to say this, can sing a bit better than Lloyd.

Well apparently the "creative" director thinks jedward don't have the right to win and are hard to work with, according to todays screws of the world. I have to agree, whilst they are pure entertainment they aren't very good.
I also think Jamie Afro and Danyl are perhaps the two most cocky people left in the contest and whilst both are talented, I agree that Simon's only hope to win is Olly. I'd say at this early stage I'd say the final may be
1) Stacey Solomon
2) Joe McElderry
3) Jeward maybe? Or Lloyd.

Well according to the "creative" director in the same paper last week they were the act he most looked forward to working with each week. I actually didn't think they were too bad at all this week - there are three or four other acts more deserving of being in the bottom two, though personally I'd love it to be John and Edward vs Danyl in the bottom two, with Danyl going (ideally on the public vote, just to rub it in that bit more!).

Would they really have a final without one of Simons acts in it though? That just undermines his status. I think Olly has a very good chance of winning, as does Stacey Solomon and possibly Joe. But oddly after last night and if rumours in the papers are true, Rachel Adedeji could also be in with a shot.

Olly will definitely be there, and I think Joe and either Lucie or Stacey.

Well that was a predictable bottom 2, but I didn't expect Rachel to be the one leaving. It's funny how she's obviously very talented, and all the guest performers love her - yet she doesn't seem to have the voting public on her side. A real shame and I hope she makes it big after the show.
