Yeah but you're comparing Cheryl to Whitney.

That's like comparing Smartprice steak to London's finest butcher - there is no comparison. Whatever she said was hardly profound.

And I've forgotten what I'm doing on stage before - or what the next scene is, for that matter - so add jet lag into the mix and quite possibly the hotel minibar and you've got a bit of a weird mix!

I'm sorry - this was the most important night of her recent career and she totally blew it. She hardly suffered jet-lag when she's been here for the majority of the week.

You're obviously a fan, and she is/was a legend - but you have to agree she was NOT at the standard expected tonight at all - and I'll think you'll see in tomorrows press that most people agree she was outperformed by Cheryl.

I thought Whitney was really good, personally. The performance as a whole was fantastic.

Whitney didn't sing the whole song, she was often out of time with the backing track, she just walked aimlessly around the stage and stood still in parts. It was a mess imo and how people can say she outperformed Cheryl is beyond me. Cheryl did have weaker vocals, but as a performance as a whole it was very slick. Whitney's was just a disaster, and in the words of Simon bordering on drunk auntie at a wedding.

Did anyone else notice the random seat shift for Simon during Cheryls performance? Before and immediately after the performance, he set one seat over from Dannii, leaving Cheryls seat empty. But as soon as the camera panned back at the start of the live performance, Simon and Danni where sitting beside each other. As soon as the performance ended, the gap appeared. Either Simon likes to move seats or the live performance was a pre-record with the links live on either sides.

Looked to me like he'd moved over to speak to Dannii. It's not beyond the realms of possibility you know, their chairs are on wheels! I think, after all the fuss in the tabloids this week, and the fact that they said so several times, it was completely live.

What was the music used at the beginning of the X Factor results show last night when Dermot was introduced?

It was 100% NOT a pre-record, as it was confirmed on the Xtra Factor.

Also, has anyone noticed the background music at the top of the show as Dermot and the judges talk? A really nice touch I think and makes it flow all a bit better.

Didely Squit!
I can also confirm it was not a pre-record of Cheryl...as I was stood next to the stage when it was going out live.
