I reckon it's been bought with the intention of taking it to America, as it would work very well over there.

IIRC Simon Cowell has a contract with Fox which says he can't bring the show to the United States. I imagine this would remain in place whilst Cowell is getting a good hundred million for doing American Idol each year. I doubt Cowell would leave American Idol for his X Factor venture as it's flopped everywhere outside the UK.

Just because he can't appear doesn't mean the show (and the set) can't go over there...

Working in TV I thought you'd know better than to listen to the over-excited tabs Wink

Well I'm pretty sure the deal has been done!

You've not provided a reliable source anyway, it will flop without Cowell.

No, I want a source that actually confirms a deal has taken place. As you've provided no such thing.

I said I'm pretty sure the deal has been done, not that I know 100% whether it has or not - judging by the millions of reports on the matter I'd find it strange if no such thing existed.

I could quite easily say my source was Syco, and you'd have no clue if I was genuinely being truthful or not.

The X Factor thread is getting more and more like the TV show by the minute Razz

I don't think the set is as new as people are thinking. The lighting and screen set up suggests its actually the same as last years in another arrangement, and on the Britain's Got Talent stage. The round cylinder things at either end look like they are the old 'tickers' that used to have the contestants names on. I do like the new set though, the old one became quite dated really quickly and was too narrow and ridiculously long.

Poor old Robbie Williams is taking a beating after his appearance at the weekend, with comments such as "wide eyed, unblinking and glistening in sweat", as if to somehow suggest he may be pepped up on goofballs.

Although from the picture taken after the show you could almost see why...

And the gossip rag making these suggestions? The Star? Digital Spew?

Er no.
