It was reported in the paper today that Andrea Catherwood from ITV News fame agreed to do this up until last week when ITN stepped in and refused permission. She was hoping to do a Kaplinsky.

So instead, her place is taken by Rebecca Loos (who is obviously available for anything), dueting with James Hewitt. Shocked

Anyone hoping this'll be a deeply embarrasing ratings disaster for ITV1, removing any likelyhood of a second series?

I'm certainly hoping so, even though I'm not usually someone that says negative things about all things ITV!

The others now confirmed are Matt Stevens and in the groups section Aldo Zilli, Paul Rankin, Ross Burden and Jean-Christophe Novelli.

I have to say they really have got a terrible bunch of Z listers - i thought this might attract a few good celebs, but it looks like its going to be terrible. Sharon Osbourne has admitted only knowing Chris Moyles and I cant imagine Simon Cowell would of agreed to this if he knew the calibre of the celebs!

What an embarrassing selection of celebs. But at the end of the day what did we expect. If I watch, it'll only be to see Paul Daniels again......what?......Every second counts..

As for Rebecca Looser and James Hewitt......*yawn* Nothing better for them to do is there? Rolling Eyes And on primetime ITV1 - go away!

That's a real shame. We never see any persponality from Andrea. ITN are extremely snobbish then.
