Not convinced they’ll be able to get their first winner to sign up mind
He might be the only one who does. Suspect it would be the likes of Jedward and Wagner who might pull in an audience though.
The format and aftermath for Got Talent and X Factor though is so different. AGT Champions has just highlighted what a positive experience the show is for most acts and it opens many doors, plus the nature of the show means a return was just a two show commitment. I don't know if many of the UK X Factor alumni would want to go through it again.
I'd put money on it being a Champion of Champions style show rather than a celebrity version.

So, based on one thread here on TVF with a very speculative OP, certain "red-top" tabloids are now reporting the X Factor has been axed in its current form. Until there is official confirmation from ITV and/or Simon Cowell, I'm still saying it's bull****.
TBH, I couldn't really give a toss either way!

If you consider believing a poster who has given genuine ITV inside information before that turned out to be true mad, plus a second poster who works in the industry corroborating the first poster, then sure.
Has everyone gone mad?

I'd love to see an international champion of champions, but one imagines it's too open to a lawsuit from the EBU.
The other issue created by keeping TXF on life support is the love for Strictly. Let's be honest. It's boring. Strictly is boring. It's getting the numbers it is because there's nothing else on. You either have the scripted bull on ITV, or all the faux positivity on BBC One. Do you know what they should do? Axe XF and put Saturday Night Takeaway up against SCD. Yes, move Celebrity Jungle to new year or whatever. But if ITV can't beat one of the most dated boring and lethargic formats on television, goodness me either they have a hell of a problem or the British public have gone truly soft in t' head.

You can't move I'm a celeb because German tv uses the camp on the other side of xmas. I doubt itv will wont to push it into March.

And how do you plan on filling the rest of the schedule? Takeaway on a Saturday in the Autumn would be no replacement for 3 hours of XF every weekend and over an hour of I'm A Celeb every night for 3 weeks in the crucial run-up to Christmas period. That would be disaaaster.
No need to rip up the schedule in an attempt to beat Strictly.
