Usually a bit of both, but in this instance Simon Cowell is quoted at length in the article, so I presume it's true.
Is the odious Dan Wooten usually accurate, or the purveyor of nonsense?

Paula Abdul was always doing the all stars one wasn’t she? I was certainly under the impression already she was doing it.
This doesn’t do anything to counter the impression that they’re making it up as they go along mind.
X Factor All Stars has now been axed to be replaced by a rip-off of Popstars: The Rivals, with X Factor: The Band to take its slot. Louis is reportedly axed again, along with the previously announced Paula Abdul.

When you already have an ailing TV show on your hands the answer really is to keep producing more and more variants of that show isn't it.

A big assumption there Jon. I actually liked the historical shows he did this year, which were accessible and entertaining and his character on EE is tolerable.
The Wall on the other hand is him overdoing the mockney. I know the format from France where it was done a lot better than the BBC version, yet you can't complain when 4.1m are watching it and is beating this latest X Factor spin-off and Casualty.

Staggering that the car crash that is Danny Dyer presenting a game show beat the long running ITV juggernaut.

This will get under 3 million.
How they going to find two judges in a month - presumably people not used before as X Factor judges.

Not to mention contestants! I don't see how they can do it in that timeframe. The existence of the Band show might be true, but I doubt that it taking All-Stars' timeslot is. ITV will have to find something else to plug that hole.
