Do you remember the days of X Factor having really impressive production values, especially for the live shows? Those big pre title Peter Dickson "It's time to face the music!" sequences with real effort and thought put into them. Instead of evolving this, the show seems to think getting rid of them and settling for awful gold titles is progress. Funnily enough judging by the credits the show seems to still employ a lot of people so not sure it's simple budget cuts.

Compare the current titles to the original that look much more exciting and professional all these years on. This original version of the theme tune is superior also (in my opinion)

It's worth noting that Jump Design created the titles and logo from 2004 - 2015.

If I worked for SHOP, I'd be very embarrassed by that attempt, even more so if I worked for Jump Design, I'd feel very offended.

SHOP did create the titles for Big Brother from 2013 - 2017, which again was a shoddy and a poor attempt to replicate the success of what Hello Charlie did from 2000 - 2012 and also 2018.

The X Factor needs to be rested, like Big Brother, and come back in its original format.

In SHOP's defence it's likely they had only a fraction of the budget of the previous titles. Jump has produced some low budget stinkers in its time too.

You can tell with this set especially the titles are half as long as they should be - feels like they build up to nothing, which probably sums the show up nicely actually.
DeMarkay and DavidWhitfield gave kudos

On another note - are we seeing a new set for the live shows part. He said he wanted to scrap the titles and set. Also do you think there still go LH2 studios?

The set doesn't look any different in the Britain Get Talking promo.

That’s footage from last year. The set is probably only just under construction now. No way ITV would pay to put that stage up in that space for a few seconds of a low cost advert!

I wasn't suggesting that for a moment, obviously.

I was under the impression that at least some episodes of X Factor Celebrity/All Stars/Champions/Whatever have been pre-recorded and therefore the set has been constructed in advance of transmission.

If the alternative is - as you've suggested - they superimposed the words Britain Get Talking onto the set in footage from last year, why would they have gone to all that effort to include the set if they are replacing it?

By the way, Cowell said the theme tune was going and has retained it (albeit re-orchestrated) so we should take what he says with a pinch of salt.

Makes we wonder if a part of this on Twitter https://twitter.com/TheXFactor/status/1175092254727462914 was meant to be part of the theme tune, but they had last-minute 2nd thoughts.

Oh fair, I hadn’t considered that. What I’ve read - and I except it’s from tabloid press - doesn’t suggest anything has been pre-recorded! Also would expect it to be know as audience tickets would have been available! And I’d expect far more rumours for All Stars!

Wonder if the final of Celeb or the week long All Stars will be at Wembley Arena.

There were reports the All-Stars version is coming from Birmingham, which seems odd [https://talentrecap.com/the-new-x-factor-all-stars-judge-will-leave-you-speechless/]. They seem to be selling tickets for the Celeb version on the Appulase Store, which states LH2. Seems a little why they will not be using the same venue for All-Stars, as they could just leave the studio as it is. I personally think they will drop the arena final to save some pounds but think there could be a new set for the live shows, but I could be wrong.

The only Saturday Wembley has free in December is the 14th, which is also the Strictly final. I'd imagine the Celeb final would be the week before (or event the 30th November), with All Stars starting either Saturday 7th or on the Monday (I'd guess I'm a Celeb finishes the 8th Dec), with probably 5 shows and then perhaps the final on Sunday 15th to avoid a head to head with Strictly.

Hadn't heard about All Stars being in Birmingham - doesn't look like it's at the Birmingham Arena (the old NIA) but great it is out of London if that's the case.
