Okay so I've only had this on this evening because its dross... but seriously, the winners single "Cannonball"... is sh*t, and doesn't suit either act.

As for the presentation... I think staging the final in such a massive venue was a stroke of genius, even if somewhat ruined by the mediocrity of the entire evening.

...I wasn't paying enough attention to see who won I was too busy watching Fatima Whitbread farting and setting fire to Crissy Rock's arm... and to be honest I don't really care... "come backcchcch chqchuck, I ckchchant see ya in du darcchcchchh."

..and now I must change channels as it appears my TV screen has been invaded by Schofe and Bleakpea with their non-alcoholic saccharine-fuelled "Christmas Spirit". I'm sure its for a very good cause but I'm really not in the mood.

Agreed. the single is **** for a band of that much talent. And the santa show is also **** and not up to its adverts that ITV has played all weekend promoting the show, which is a show to raise money for spending a fun christmas, nothing like CIN or RND. Its non humurous......a crap small set.....crappy presenters.

The set's NOT crap and who said the show was going to be anything like CIN or RND?

Yes it is, and I didn't say anyone dkd, im comparing it , because IMO theres better charities to spend money on like them 2 rather than this. IMO

And also, I doubt it'd be this as there would be no need for the camera cranes then

Not at all, one's not necessarily a replacement for the other as they have completely different flexibilities, pros and cons.

Just as in the event pictured (Eurovision 2011), Jimmy Jibs and Technocranes were also used.

You don't even know what it's about. Rolling Eyes

Fool.

The set is a welcome change and gives a warm 90's feeling with a bit of character and a welcome change the dark sets with LED screens and random lights we've become accustomed to especially from this sort of thing on the BBC.

I wasn't aware it was either a competition or that you can only donate to one charity per year Rolling Eyes

Oh grow up. No charity is better than another. It's charity, FFS.

I wonder if the set at Wembley Arena will be used for The X Factor Tour.

Which are?

Text Santa helps the vulnerable elderly, ill kids, people living on the streets, those thinking of taking their own lives.

Seem good causes to me.

I was thinking that myself, it certainly makes sense. Based on previous years the tour is mostly staged inside large arenas that could easily take that stage.

Does anyone know the name of the camera running through the centre or have any pictures? Smile

It's definitely not SpiderCam - they used a piece of truss the length of the arena for the camera to run along. We reakon it was a wireless radiolink camera as I couldn't see any cable attached to it during the show tonight - plus it moves very fast and there'd be a risk of buggering up your SMPTE Fibre with something moving that fast. I'll try and find out the name of it but it could very possibly be the Aerial Camera System's 'MK3 System': http://www.aerialcamerasystems.com/tracking-camera-systems

Two problems on the show tonight. The Text Santa OB didn't work as planned and near the end of the show there was some sort of interference on the image and sound (both on ITV and UTV).

Had the same problem
