It seemed inevitable really, though they should get Wagner back to duet with Louis! Very Happy

Also a bit of a spoiler for The Voice - they did it with the opening show by having the judges axe an act live and are doing it with the final by having them sing with the contestants.

There seems to be very little speculation this year on the duets front too - I wonder if they've taken the lazy option and getting the relevent judges to do it instead.

Amazing how poor BBC journalism is these days. Stating Amelia Lily and Little Mix are all 17. One of LM is at least 19.

I think Nicole S replacing Kelly on the next series became more likely last night after the farce on US X Factor.

Nah, I honestly can't see Cowell wanting anything to do with Nicole after the current series of The X Factor USA finishes. Wouldn't be surprised to see Kelly replace her, but I think we'll get somebody new here.

That US X Factor eviction is the worst reaction that I've ever seen. Nicole shouldn't kicked up a farce, but I think the booing of a judge for their decision was totally uncalled for and something I don't think we've seen on our version before. If the American public liked her, they should have voted more.

Though I did like the evictee's like on speech including the line "thank you all for voting, even though you di-n't".

Tonight The X Factor doesn't have the usual vibe, it's disappointing..

I notice the judges are using desk microphones, like the US version.

Agreed. A largely pointless move for me so far. The set design is also a joke.

I don't think it's too bad. The set isn't amazing, but it's only there for one weekend so I wasn't expecting much anyway - it's also being used quite well with props, dancers and the backdrop being used fully. The show has a different feel because of the huge audience but it suits a program's 'final' well - I quite like it.

It feels much more like a final than last year and so far is working well enough - ironically you can here the judges better than in the small Fountain studio.

Not sure about the set - a nice enough effort but looks a lot smaller than it probably is. Also don't see why Amelia gets the last slot again - she's been back 4-5 weeks and had it three times I think.

I think the show has a Eurovision feel to it.

Funny you should mention Eurovision. The set designer this year was the same as X Factor and it showed. It was a great set and much better than XF tonight.

The fact they're covering X Factor at all proves that!
