Have there been any changes made as a result? Is there more contingency in place for this weekend's shows?

BT are providing us with a Satellite uplink from Fountain direct into Chiswick for (I think) the remaining 3 weeks of us doing the show. Not sure what will be happening for the final as it's nothing to do with us but I would guess that CTV will be uplinking all feeds (or maybe terrestrial linking them) into CP and or Chiswick directly.

X Factor Voiceover Man Peter Dickson pulls out of tonight's show after rowing with X Factor bosses

The idea of someone rowing with him is quite funny really. Seems to be a completely fabricated rumour though - although the BBC do need someone to read out the football results from next week.

...aaaaand we're off to a flying start!

Cue Dermot and his slick but no-rhythm laced dance intro. Always proves an extra laugh

Don't know if its just me, but is Craig's backing track and the audience applause sound like its drowning out the general vocal/presenter chat?

How odd that the BBC go all out with a fantastic Strictly Come Dancing piece live from Wembley arena and this place isn't commenting on it at all. Instead, X Factor seems more interesting Confused

I wouldn't mind, but considering the technical and overall production differences with broadcasting from the arena I thought this place may have a bit more to say.

TV Forum, or Digital Spy? I can't see the difference these days.

Or maybe, just maybe, The X Factor is more interesting than Strictly.

If contrived to the extreme is your bag. I'd prefer a drama well written myself, than a poorly scripted panto. I am watching, though Razz

Strictly has better judges, talent, direction etc etc etc. X Factor owes an awful lot to newspapers and Cheryl Cole (yes, I'm aware she is gone, but it wouldn't be where it is without her and the hype that surrounded those series).

Your point is still redundant in any case, as I compared this place nowadays to Digital Spy and you are clearly very much a part of this. Smile

Gonna have to agree. Celebrities learning dance routines and getting slated by experts? Seems a bit predictable and bland. I guess the fact X Factor is everyday ordinary people being given a shot at the big time and laced with toil, trouble and carcrashtvscandal just makes it more interesting. Sorreh Brucey

A part of what? I like how you say 'nowadays', even though you've only been on the forum for four years - two less than me, and six less than the duration of the existence of the forum.

One thing that hasn't changed is the amount of immature children then. It's always had that in common with DS to some extent.

Did it ever occur to you that I may have been on a different account or merely a long term browser before this name? Not for any negative reasons; perhaps I forgot my old password after not visiting for a while, or something else that happens in life.
