Don't you think if people were that interested they'd be watching?

Some people are not at a TV or have access to Twitter/Facebook when on the late shift.

This doesn't really make sense.

And thus may have recorded it and not wanted the result spoilt for them?

They don't have access to Twitter or Facebook but they do have access to TV Forum?

If you must insist on doing this, use the spoiler tags.

The X Factor has always sold itself as a big weekly event that everyone watches live together. If more people are starting to time shift it surely it's a sign more people are not that interested anymore?

The show is not in "crisis" but it has most probably peaked.

Didn't allegations of bullying bring down another reality tv show? I expect a radical decline in viewing figures leading to the axe.

Maybe 1 more series, especially since a 'fresh' new talent show will be starting on BBC one soon. The public have got bored of syco tv.

If you mean 'The Voice', I find it all a bit of a gimmick really - even if it is about 'The Voice', people wont actually buy in to people who aren't particularly of a photogenic nature. Take Michelle McManus for example. People voted her the second Pop Idol, and look what happened to both her and the show itself.

Many workplaces block well-known social networking sites but not little known TV pres sites like 'TV Forum'.

I was testing this experiment to see if people appreciated it as I used to when people would post the results of Pop Idol on Digital Spy, but I see people do not appreciate it and the experiment has now concluded.

Meanwhile, in ratings land, shock horror! The X Factor getting 11m viewers as normal. And the crisis is over, for another week at least.

20:00- The X Factor: 11.12m (39.8%) , +1: 163k (0.6%)

Or more likely because they don't want to spend 3 hours a weekend watching it when they can time shift it at their leisure and fast forward through all the chaff
