Don't fall for it. Every year the programme is 'in crisis'... it's just publicity.

I normally find something else to watch, either other channels or what I taped earlier in the week!

Better/worse "actors"?

I might be wrong but have they reverted to the previous theme tune this week - ironically ditching the more rocked up version for Rock Week.

The classic theme tune wasn't used this week (although the sting based on it is still used when the contestant walks off the stage and sometimes an original bed is heard). I admit it did sound a bit different to last weeks episode though.

More desperation because the ratings are lower this year?

Even though it's only down by about 1 million and gets pushed back up when the full ratings come in anyway.

Bit of an exaggeration. "Way down"? Wait till the full figures come in and you'll see it's just more people timeshifting.

True, the 'low ratings' are being overstated. What people seem to forget is that nothing can continue to get more and more popular with every year. At some point it has to go down.

Personally I think the way it's going out as 2 hours+ slots is putting some people off, it's just too much, have they done such long shows in the past?
