Jonny, they were exactly my thoughts - and those are my thoughts on the current. The visuals in that video are superb, but far too slow/graceful for the music.
The idea is good - but not quite pulled off in the execution. I'd be surprised though if they'd let France have them ahead of the US but not the UK.
Somehow I think the US version will have bolder and brasher titles than the French one. It's not like the US to do calm and quiet, they always have to push the boat out and take it one step further.

The FOX promo (which is on YouTube somewhere) has the same logo form-up as in the French titles, so it's fairly likely they'll be the same.

Aye the logo maybe, who's to say FOX haven't pushed the boat on the titles though....
Not a fan of those titles at all, although, and this is going to sound like outrageous stereotyping, the models used look quite continental. Also it's plausible that the French production team couldve been provided with graphics used in the US promos. It does look quite tagged on at the end, and the dodgy music edit is a bit of a giveaway.
It's quite unusual for a US broadcaster to constantly use the title card form up in every promo.. you would think the animation would be something specifically created for the promos, given the huge campaign. Are they really going to use a section of the opening titles in the promos like that? I'm not sure they would be that cheap.
Also the France titles have been created for over 5 months. There is no plausible reason that they couldnt have been used on the UK version until now.
Also lets not forget that X Factor has never been the most consistent show from territory to territory (as much as we may try to forget:)
