I don't think we'll ever return to the controversy revolving Louis Walsh's axing. I remember the episode Simon revealed they were going to bring him back - it was pretty big. Or the week that involved news articles stating he had quit before appearing on Saturday's show in a big reveal after the other three judges.
After seeing one of the auditions at the O2 a few months ago I have to say that the new judges do add a bit more edge to the programme. It's a different ball came with Gary, Kelly and Tulisa, they seemed much more fired up then the previous line-up. They seemed a lot more harsh too. I certainly enjoyed it much more than I would watching Dani, Cheryl and Simon and hopefully reflects others when the new series begins.
It'll be a strange dynamic now with Louis, almost like if at work someone was promoted from below you as your new boss. Will Gary act as lead judge and argue with Louis like Simon did.

From what I saw you didn't really get a feel that anybody was in charge, Louis never really got into disagreements and if anything Gary was being mr tough guy.
