X Factor: 2011

I think quite a lot of people are expecting that tbh. But like grattz said a few posts a go, it might create a lot of publicty, but I can see the audience getting bored of the same publicty stunts being redone every year. The story has already been in overdrive about Cheryl "joining/quitting" the US X Factor, so it'd just be a repeat of that story really.

What is intresting though is that there's still no confirmation from Fox whether or not Cheryll has left the US version, whilst it makes sense for Fox to leave it till the last minute to confirm/deny the story officially I.e to get the most publicity. Surely by now you'd get an official statement on it? Well the next set of auditions in the US are on ~10th June - so we'll find out then I guess.

I think Dannii is more likely to be parachutted in than Cheryl - let someone else do the auditions (as happened last year) then bring her back for judges houses.

Yep - I still think Dannii will be back at some point. I think it's a bit fishy how Dannii has always been treated on the show - overshadowed by Cheryl and made out to be the underdog all the time, despite constantly topping polls for best judge and style, and constantly featuring in your more upmarket magazines and providing the "voice of reason" for those who consider themselves above the game-playing on the show. It's almost as if they are purposefully trying to create a sense of injustice - they know full well she is popular, but if they make it look like they are treating her otherwise, it gets people talking.

Manipulation, you may call it.

The suggestion that they have to give her a second chance in order to get rid of her without paying her off is interesting.

If true she was probably never sacked in the first place, because of the silence around the whole thing. It was probably to drum up a bit of 'will she, won't she' publicity for the UK series, considering the US media didn't really care about it. Although I'm surprised they didn't wait for Nicole to "join" the panel for Simon to say that wasn't working either, cue Cheryl's return.

If she hasn't got a Visa yet weren't they on thin ice with her working on the show in the US anyway? Could that be an issue?

Maybe they could hire her as security for Simon.

I'm not reading too much into this - it'll probably change about sixty times before Wednesday, and if true is surely only delaying the inevitable and a much bigger mistake than sacking her in the first place.
