Geez. I wonder if he's told Deirdre yet! She won't be too happy, him playing away in London on a weekly basis. Remember that Wendy Crozier fiasco????? It'll all end in tears, mark my word..............

Nice to see some humour back in this place.
I forgot to say ofcom, did not think Rihanna's routine in last years final went over the mark.
Could somebody reassure me that if Cheryl goes to the US version, will she not judge on the UK version? That might tempt me into giving it a chance, to be honest...

Probably not, Nicole Scherzinger and Frankie from The Saturdays are amongst the people rumoured to be replacing her. Hopefully they'll go for Nicole, choosing Frankie is trying to directly replace Cheryl like for like.

I thought Nicole was tipped to be host or co-host of the US version?
Confirmed: Cheryl Cole’s departs UK version of The X Factor.

It’s with a pride-filled lump in our throat that today we announce Cheryl Cole’s departure from the UK version of The X Factor.
Sniff, sniff, sob, sob!
After months of speculation it has now been confirmed that the Geordie stunner will join Simon Cowell and L.A Reid on the judging panel for The X Factor USA.
“I’m so excited to be taking part in the American version of The X Factor,” said Cheryl: “I absolutely love it here in the UK and with the talent they have out in America, I’m sure we’re going to find someone very special. I can’t wait to get started.”
Since joining the British version in 2008 Cheryl has been the winning mentor two out of three years, and she can’t wait to beat Simon again when judging begins across the pond.
“He’s tried to beat me for years in the UK and hasn’t even come close! His ego must be so bruised, America’s gonna love this!” she teased.
Talent-spotter, style icon, national treasure... Britain’s loss is America’s gain.
Good luck and thanks for the good times Chezza, you always ‘absolutely smashed it!’
