UK footage was also used in the Australian advertising campaign so its to be expected really.
With regards to our X Factor, some sources are confirming Kelly Rowland but its unsure if shes being misquoted from a few days ago. She'd be a good addition and in some ways a like for like replacement for Dannii. They should just be a bit more careful about the prospect of Tulisa, but I guess she'd be good for headlines.

Well considering ratings have been up every year since she left the show, I can't see this happening. The way she's treated the likes of Steve Brookstein, Chris Tarrant, Danni Minogue and her general persona as a person make me not want to see her back on the show.
PS: I know some will put the ratings rise down to popularity of Cheryl.
Bring back Sharon Osbourne!! Surely NOW is the right time to do this!

That wasn't his first US presenting duty or his last. He did Hit Me Baby One More time in the US about 6 years ago and he had a game show lined up after Skating with the Stars, Skating with the Stars I believe was 'canceled'.
I think Steve Jones will do a good job, he and Dermot are in my opinion the best two male solo TV presenters in the UK for this kind of thing, perhaps Steve's humour is what give him the edge O'Learly.
I think one of those presenters wont be going through to season 2. If Jones does will he'll go solo and if not Nicole may be kept on while she's get an American host. Or he may just replace them both of course.
Here is some footage from one of the US auditions recorded on a camera phone.

And what really could they show if those sort of shots were required?

So what is Steve Jones' role then? Nicole Sherzlinger (or whatever her name is) is being promoted as the presenter with Steve Jones being 'introduced'.
JO
Well they're in a equal role it seems. They say introducing Steve Jones, simply because he's new to that audience, I'm assuming.
Expect this X Factor to do nearly as well as Idol did in it's hey day.
The X Factor really always was Pop Idol with a few tweaks to legally differentiate the format.

The ratings have grown every year since series 1 with the exeption of series 3- ironically Leona's year. I wouldn't put it down to any specific judges, but the production and PR machine growing each year. Cheryl did undoubtedly help the popularity but she was only a small factor in it, and it only turned into the monster it is now in 2009 when they introduced the Sunday night results programme.
