Such a shame that Niki went and that Leon got the the final. I suppose you have the teenage girl voters to thank for that - looks over talent. I would love for Niki to build up a singing career after this as I reckon she could be a big success.

I'm not sure how anyone can call Sarah's crying crocodile tears. It seems pretty obvious that she is still upset from what has happened in the past and her emotions seemed to get the better of her. I genuinely felt a bit upset myself when she got to that last note, she comes across as such a lovely genuine girl and that's probably why I like them so much.

I think if Same Difference want to have a chance of winning, they need to come out with an absolutely killer performance next week. I think Sean has an amazing voice, but we haven't really heard it apart from when they sung Any Dream Will Do. I really do hope they do something vocally challenging, because that could win it for them if they pull it off.

As for Rhydian, there's still something there that I don't *get*. He is a fantastic singer, and he is almost always note perfect, but the emotion is missing. I'm glad he sung something that wasn't particularly operatic this week, it did show a different side to him, but he lacks the power that Niki had in her voice and, to be honest, I don't see him being that successful after the show.

My prediction for the final:

1st: Leon
2nd: Same Difference
3rd: Rhydian

You may think it's crazy to think that Rhydian will come third, let alone second, but these bloody teenage girl voters I mentioned will probably ruin the outcome like they did when Shayne Ward won.

I haven't watch a full episode of the show since it started, but I have seen bits of it.

I'm not sure which, if any, of the acts would have commercial success, but I think the brother and sister act are just adorable. She's very pretty. So is he.

Ryhdian (is that how you spell it?) seems a little arrogant for my taste, and his hair sucks.

So that's my tuppence worth.

Do you honestly believe Journey South or that Andy bloke deserved to win over Shayne? Ridiculous!

Though I think Leon deserved his place over Niki in the final, he's there to make up the numbers IMO. I fully expect him to be third, with Same Difference second and Rhydian coming out on top.

Bookies have Rhydian as favourite, Leon as second and SD as third.

Journey South were pair of foxes. I definitely would.

Yay, I have so much to contribute to this thread.

Hope Same Difference win!

Do we think Dermot was better than Kate?

I think after an average start Dermot has really got into it over the series and has added something different to Kate, but I don't think I'd say he was better or worse really. Just different.

I still see no reason why Kate should have been axed in the first place - and I hope Louis Walsh is axed again this year - only this time make it permanent!

Yes, much better. Kate was sweet but dreadfully wooden. Dermot's injected a bit of fun into the proceedings and I like the fact he interacts with the judges and audience. He's been fantastic this year and proves they made the right decision in replacing Kate.

Similarly the addition of Danni was a masterstroke and she's quickly proved herself to be the best judge. I agree with Brekkie though, despite my reservations at the time, they were right to axe Louis and should never have brought him back. Kick out Sharon as well, go back to three judges, and make a few other minor changes and you'll have yourself a better show.

I would have preferred Journey South to have won over Shayne Ward as well. And yes they were very good looking lads. Wink Sean from Same Difference though I definately wouldnt!

As for Dermot, a big improvement on Kate IMO however I wish he would stop saying "your Saturday night starts here"

I remember one of the first shows when Same Difference had finished, and Dermot kissed the sister and then the brother - he was quite embarrassed, but it was funny to watch.

That's the route I'd go as well - as much as I've liked Sharon in the past, frankly after four years she'd hardly proved herself a decent mentor, and she isn't the judge she once was. She's mellowed too much really.

(BTW, Ozzy and Sharon hosting The Brits live - have ITV forgotten 1989?)
