It was definately good to see Same Diff drop the gimmicks (as Louis said) - turns out they've both got quite good voices. There was something VERY uncomfortable about them doing a love duet though given that they're brother & sister. I suppose that's not really their fault though.

Leon is getting better but he's really using the VTs to lay on the emotional stuff - generally there seems to have been an awful lot more of that this year. Rhydian was once again excellent - he's the only one who has turned in perfect vocal performances from start to finish.

If I was being rational I'd probably agree with the comments about Hope, but I am a bit of a Cowell fan so I don't want to see him lose another act!

Song choices:

I like Niki's first song, should suit her well.

IMO Judging by Hopes slaughtered version of Spice girls 2 become 1 they really deserve to leave tonight.

Yeah, their performance of '2 become 1' was absolutely horrific. I can't see them doing any better with We 'Will Rock You'.

Hope were terrible, too nervous, too rubbish. (Except Phoebe though....)

Same Difference make me want to do damage to my TV set. It's illegal to be that happy.

WOW that final performance from Rhydian was outstanding.

Fortunately I missed Same Difference first performance but their second performance was their worst ever and thats really saying something.

Hope were awful tonight, but I'd like to see Niki sent back to the eighties where she belongs.

And Louis Walsh has been appalling tonight, once again proving he should never have been unsacked.


It did make me laugh though when he was talking about Niki - "she doesn't use gimmicks, but I'm sure her dead dad would be proud!"

I agree, and Danni made a very good point when she said about other contestants sob stories.
