No replacement then ? How about a "wild-card" entrant for next weeks show, and give somebody for Sharon to mentor, don't see her remaining artist lasting much longer.

Well this was in the Media Guardian article:

Quote:
A spokeswoman for The X Factor said a new contestant would not be brought in for this Saturday's programme following Nakanda's departure and that one act would still be voted off as normal.

She added that it had not yet been decided if any changes would be made after this Saturday's episode.

So it's still a possibility.

The video on The Sun's website is very distressing to watch

Indeed, it is. She hasn't got the perfect voice, but to me there was something there anyway. The way she came across to me on the X Factor was like a normal 15-year-old... just goes to show how wrong you can be. You couldn't make it up, though, could you?

What about one of the finalists who went to Sharon's "house"? Surely one of the rejected three could be brought on at this stage? Either that blonde woman or that other 15 year old girl? If they bring her on tomorrow, well it won't be seen as being unfair. If they bring her on in a few weeks time, then she would have had an unfair advantage!

No wonder Sharon is miserable with onnly 1 act left now - I'm not suprised if she walks off stage again 2moro night in disgust - I know what I would do!

Shame it wasn't Rhydian..what? Damn him! Wink

Well there we are, what a bad end to a sob-story.

Deary me, it's not looking good for Sharon is it?!

Surely they will have some sort of back-up plan for situations like this? I wonder if Darius will get wheeled on? Laughing I'd imagine there'll be some sort of announcement on the show tomorrow about a replacement, probably starting next week.

Tough call this week...

Niki was fantastic, as was Beverley, while Leon finally proved himself.

Same Difference are far more likeable than they should be, as is Rhydian I guess.

I think Futureproof were the worst of the night and agree with Louis about the "bookends" - the one in particular was quite annoying to watch.

I didn't think Hope were that good this week, while an obscure song did Andy no favours.

As for Alisha - not sure. Hope she's either straight through to next week or out this week, even if that meant losing Sharon - I'd rather she quit than remained with no acts.

I agree its a tough call this week, and it could be any one of them in the bottom 2. I thought Futureproof were good this week and I preferred them to Hope.

Alisha was also excellent so I really hope she isnt in the bottom 2 again (and I have voted for her)

Right result I think - though ironic that next week is "future week", whatever that means. Even more ironic is how Futureproof think they have a future!

Shayne Ward has a new single to plug next week too!

P.S. They pulled out the sob stories once again for the VTs this week!

Emily chose to withdraw from the competition following stories which have appeared in the tabloids over the last couple of days. She is pictured, on mobile phone footage and video stills, allegedly carrying out so-called happy-slapping attacks.

I thought "happy-slapping" involved male genetalia?

Anyway, she deserves to be out if this is what she's doing in school.

One wonders if her choosing to quit voluntarily was really a noble gesture or an all-to-late attempt to save face. If she wasn't going to go of her own accord I hope The X Factor would have done the right thing.
