The right decision I think. Alesha was far better.

She was tonight, especially in the sing-off - but Daniel probably had more potential overall.

After last week though there was no way they'd vote off one of Sharron's acts.

And so predictable the results as usual - you knew as soon as the first name was announced and it wasn't Alesha that she was in the sing-off, as generally speaking if last week's survivor gets through, they're announced first.

Indeed. And tonight they announced Emily first as people would have expected her to be in the final 2 after the comments she got tonight.

As they did with Leon last week. I thought they might have left him to till the final three this week.

The shameless promotion of Westlife is especially annoying, and now they're doing it with Leona. In fact, I don't think they're bothered about finding a winner this year and instead are willing to bet on Leona sticking around a few months longer than she should.

That's what I thought, the shameless promotion of Leona and Westlife is getting silly now. A major problem with this series is it does seem like the wrong people went a bootcamp. Danii getting rid of Dominic was stupid, he could of won it IMO.

Did they say who's going to be the celebrity singer next week?

Boyz II Men will be the celebrity guests. The theme is Big Band.

Not much discussion of Rhydian(..darling) tonight then. Obviously he's realised that playing the arrogant card is not working so he's toned down to keep his "fans" happy.

Well I dont really blame them for promoting Leona as she was the winner last year and the most sucessful of all the past winners. I dont think there is anyone as good as Leona in this years show.

And those two naturally go together. Weren't we just talking about hiring bands as well!

Brian Friedman.

Well, he's only working with what he's given - though his inclusion does seem to mean some pointless choreography in some routines.

Ian Hyland is slating the show in the News of the World today for much the same reasons we have been - mainly criticising Simon Cowell's obvious desire to turn it into American Idol.

A couple of the acts really do need to breakthrough in the next couple of weeks as serious contenders for the title. I'd guess Hope are probably favourites at the moment, but surely one Girls Aloud is one too many anyway!
