Perhaps part of ITV2's ongoing process to scale back on spin-offs of ITV1 shows.

Xtra Factor seems to have been scaled back this year - the Friday edition looks like it's been axed, along with the midweek update on events in the X Factor house, meaning it's only airing on Saturdays now.

At the end of the Rugby on Sunday they said coverage would begin at 7.30pm, but to look out for scheduling changes.

The tv guides are all listing the X Factor as starting at 5.45pm this Saturday. Has it been confirmed whether there is a change of schedule and the Rugby coverage will be starting earlier?

5.30 p.m start for X Factor, with previous programmes starting 15 minutes earlier than billed. Dennis the Menace film at 1.30 p.m. has been replaced.

Yeah I noticed an advert for it earlier which said 5.30pm. Shame the show is still 2 hours long really.

That seems to be a last minute decision then because it was still 5.45pm when the ran the advert last night.

The Dr No ads running earlier still advertised that as beginning at 3.10pm, so if that's true it's probably the news which has been cut back (once again!).
Agree though 1 hr 45 mins is more than enough. They should have kept it at 5.45pm and then switched to the Rugby at 7.30pm.
The only reason it should be moved earlier is to allow the rugby a bigger build up.

The 2nd live show is also 2 hours long starting at 6.15pm. The results are 9pm with All Star Family Fortunes between the 2 X Factor shows.

Hoping for some new titles and rejigged music like last year. If there's any set changes that's a bonus!
By the way, saw an interesting set build on Fountain Studio's site - http://www.ftv.co.uk/largeStudio/default.aspx - showing last year's X Factor set being put in (could well be this year's too, hope not though as nice as it was!)
