Completly agree regarding American Idol - they at least need to have someone sober!
Any chance of them bringing back the original Mr Nasty in the form of Nigel Lythgoe I wonder. He of course went on to produce American Idol and is now a judge on one of the US talent shows - can't recall which one though!
P.S. Talking of Soapstar Superstar Zoe Ball seems to have been making a bit of a comeback of late.

The auditions at least overlap too - and I'd be surprised if X Factor producers wanted someone so linked with another show anyhow.
It doesn't matter what the X Factor producers want anymore - ITV are calling the shots. They never learn do they.

I reckon Philip Schofield could be a good presenting choice. Wouldn't surprise me if even someone like June Sarpong MBE gets the role.
We all know it'll just be Ben Shepherd though.

Taking the mickey out of Kate was half the fun of watching the show, I'm not totally shocked they did seem to be edging her out on the last series. Even so I actually think having a presenter without too much personality is good for the show it lets you concentrate on the acts and the judges.
