On the 'TV deception' line Louis Walsh just mentioned on the Graham Norton show that last weeks show wasn't at *his* house, as I gather was suggested by the show. Apparently it was the same for the other judges.

I'm pretty sure Sharon was at the Osbourne household wasn't she? She certainly has been in previous series.

Nothing about that show is real, sadly money talks!

Yeah, this was the scandal back in the first series.
I don't know about Simon and Sharron - the Osbournes have sold their LA house recently, while Simon seemed to be using the same location as last year.
I don't think it was ever implied they were at Danni's house - it was just a location in Ibiza.

Louis has never took his acts to his own house, as far as I'm aware.

I just wish that programmes like this would stop feeling compelled to massage the reality as far as they do.
I mean, who cares if the final few are taken to a judge's actual house or some random building presumably chosen for artistic or dramatic effect?
Also, would it really put many people off watching the early auditions shows if they said:-
'Out of the thousands who queue up at the public auditions, we're going to show you a selection who make it through to face the final judges.'
They wouldn't have to detail the ins and outs of any vetting procedure unless they really wanted to.
One day TV programmes will hopefully return to reality first, creative licence second.

It's a shame the first show is 2 hours again - I thought it really dragged last year having just two performances per part. I guess they need an hour though to fit in the sob stories.
Though at 90 minutes we had the annoyance of short routines seemingly coming to an end just as they get going, it had much better editing. The obvious compromise then is 1 hr 45 minutes.
They've also got the extra judge to get comments from this time - though I bet more often than not they'll run out of time before they get to Dannii.

If this is true, it's getting beyond a joke. I do hope ITV will be paying the wages of all those that will have prepared the first live show for next week, studio costs to Fountain, Cowell's hair etc...

There's word of the live shows being put back another week now England are in the Rugby finals.

Well, it needs to be done really. Just 15 minutes before and after the match is not acceptable for the Rugby World Cup Final - whether it features England or not.
ITV need to be bold and take the action that's warrant as the Rugby World Cup Final will get ratings the X Factor wouldn't dare dream about. Considering they got something like 15m four years ago for a morning kick-off, I'd expect that to be at least matched in primetime.
