Im so glad Louis Walsh wont be a judge this year - never liked him much at all.
I like Kate Thornton so its a shame she wont be presenting this year. I wonder who they will replace her with. I wouldnt mind if it was Ben - just hope its now someone awful!
As for having a 4th category, thats a good idea and gives more variety.

I guess it was rumoured for a while that Kate was getting the chop. I personally liked her as the presenter.

How will the judge's "voting" work during the auditions? I assume Simon will have the deciding vote if two judges say yes and two say no... not very fair IMO.

Yes - I'm sure replacing Kate Thornton will be a good thing - she has done a good job over the past 3 years but now the programme needs someone who is going to put the life and vigour into the party and breathe new life into the X Factor with their unique personality.
In which case, I don't think Ben Shepherd or Fearne Cotton are likely candidates.
It would be great to see Pete Waterman back on board - if not to support him, but to laugh at his decisions!
