I wouldn't bet on that one and nobody has confirmed it. As you say Fountain is overall the best for X Factor and has recently had 1000 audience capacity installed, shown in all it's glory on Britain's Got Talent. Fountain probably increased it to 1000 mainly to keep The X Factor contract, so hopefully it will stay.

MY GOD A THOUSAND SEATER STUDIO!?!
Shocked

Isn't that unheard of in most studios around the world?

As somebody that never watched BGT does anybody have any screen caps of the studio/audience etc or is it best I just look on the BGT thread?

Have a look at this link:

They are using this studio as Fearne Cotton said on Britains Got More Talent that the Xtra Factor would be filmed in there.

Thanks for the extra info AJG, good to see it going back to Fountain. It doesn't make much sense to move from such a great studio.

This is GREAT news about Louis Walsh being back - I'd seen a little of Brian Friedman on the Grease show and didn't like him much and he isn't much of a well-known person.

But Louis is great - well known and well liked! Irritating as well but loved all the more for it!

So now, 4 top class judges!!! Simon, Louis, Sharon and the gorgeous Dannii Minogue - superb!!!! I will be watching! Very Happy

In fact, I will go as far as saying this will probably be THE BEST series of The X Factor so far, especially with Dermot hosting!!!!

I completely agree- don't forget the awful Ben Shephard has also been replaced by Fearne! Very Happy

Anyone heard the America's Got Talent theme tune? Exactly the same beat as The X Factor theme, same sound effects, but with a different tune! Sounds very odd... Useless piece of information for you there.

Are they going to make other format changes then as well as the 4th judge ? How does an even number of judges work when it comes to voting off the final 2 acts and the possibilty of a split decision.

They could make the two judges without acts in the final showdown decide between them.

Hopefully, it will be entirely up to the public. I never liked the fact that the judges had the final say on the live shows.

I do, it adds a bit of drama to proceedings, and a bit of friction between the judges, whether that be orchestrated or otherwise.

A basic viewer vote would be too bland in the early stages.

I agree - it was a nice addition which hopefully won't be omitted this year. I agree that I think they have a perfect line-up now. Louis back where he belongs along with Shazza, Danni and Cowell, and now two brilliant hosts - should be a good one.

Also, both new Syco formats we have seen this year have featured this so I doubt they'd change it now. Simon seems to be fond of them.
