I'm hoping they get at top-notch presenter for the show, in the same league as Ant and Dec if possible. We don't want another average presenter. I can see the logic of lowering the age limit, as there are many younger teens who want to make a break in the industry, so this should add a bit more variety to the show, and so what if they're bad, I need a good laugh. I'm surprised they haven't advertised the lower age limit on the 'audition now' promo's. As for the judges, I wouldn't be surprised if one of the new ones is one of the American Idol judges *cough*Paula Abdul.

Which presenters do you suggest? I'm really trying to think but strangely enough can't think of anyone!

That's the thing now with the decline in children's television there isn't really the avenue there once was for the next crop of TV presenters.

Most live presenting nowadays is done on quiz TV - so Greggles, has Mr Cowell given you a call yet?

Well yes, that might be another thing that would potentially be removed from the next series. The whole 'the judges decide' thing has been done to death on so many shows now. Wouldn't it be different for once if it went straight to the public vote?

As for the new presenter, I'd say Ben Shepherd is a likely candidate (although I don't want him to do it).

I think it's probably more likely to be Vernon Kaye

Sam & Mark? Caroline Flack? Strangely enough, I actually like them three, but maybe not well known enough for such a big gig yet...

Although Kate wasn't a big star was she?

My fingers are crossed for Myleene Klass. She'd proved herself to be a good presenter and isn't bad at improvising in certain situations.

But of course, this is ITV. So it probably will be Ant and Dec.

Ant and Dec will be busy with other projects (most notably I'm A Celebrity) whilst X Factor is on air so that rules them out.

Isn't Ant & Dec's ITV contract up this year? I presume it hasn't yet being renewed as ITV haven't been crowing from the rooftops about it? Laughing

Hopefully for them it's not another Paul O'Grady!! Very Happy

Yes it does. Apparently they're preparing to do everything they can to keep them at ITV. It would be a massive blow if they lost the pair.

They're also doing 'Britain's Got Talent' and that golf thing too. I'm sure I remember reading Dermot O'Leary was who the producers had their eye on when it was first reported during the last series they wanted rid of Kate this year. Dermot's a bit laid back I would have thought for this kind of show..but they could do far worse and I'm sure they will.
