That is a fantastic set.

I went on Youtube to see if I could find any vids of the studio Here it is.

Considering how petrified Dermot is of the three-row strong audience on BBLB, I think a studio that size would probably give him a heart attack!

The studio is nice as in it's big - but I'm not too keen on the actual main stage.

Graphics are good too - far better than those that were bought in midway through last series (which I bet we're still stuck with too).

One thing though - with that massive stage and those pretty decent graphics, the theme tune just sounds ****!

I agree with that, the stage does look quite small in the middle, but I do love the idea of having the audience around, especially as I thought last years UK set felt smaller, most probably as it was against the side of the studio, quite high and had that many people in the audience.

I love the fact that the X is prominant in the studio, something that I thought the UK set was missing from the last set.

Surely the £1million was spent on all of the screens, lights and LED's on the overheads.

I agree with the graphics too, they do look better, sticking with the red theme and doing something with the logo.

That set reminds me of the set which was used in Series 1 of the X Factor which was very similar in style but on a smaller scale.

Yep - they made great use of the 'X' in Series 1 and it was very prominent in the set design - it was also used in Series 2 although on a smaller scale. It was practically absent from last years set though IIRC.

One thing that made laugh last year was the first live show when they had this ridiculous situation of having Kate at one side of the studio, nowhere near the judges or where the acts were performing, and then after every performance, the acts having to walk over to Kate - and whenever she was in front of the judges, she had to literally run back to the other side to talk to the camera. Thankfully it changed the week after.

So... The X Factor's sponsors' are The Carphone Warehouse then ey?! Good Luck to them and hope they have a long relationship with The X Factor as sponsors with regards to further series of the show! Laughing

So the Carphone Warehouse leave Big Brother high and dry due to a spot of bullying - but are quite happy to be associated with Simon Cowell making people cry!

According to newspaper reports today, Louis Walsh is back on the X-Factor.

He's been persuaded back with a £1m offer from Simon, and will take Brian Friedmans place, who will now become the shows "creative guru", whatever that means.

News just in from Broadcast:

Walsh reinstated as X-Factor judge

Louis Walsh has been reinstated as a judge on The X-Factor – three months after being sidelined.

It is understood that Simon Cowell, a judge and executive producer on The X-Factor, asked Walsh to return to the show after concerns over the capabilities of newcomer Brian Friedman.

American choreographer Friedman, who was a judge on ITV's Grease Is The Word, was said to be struggling to adapt to the role because of a limited knowledge of pop music and English slang.

Walsh will now replace him as a judge while Friedman takes up a role developing the acts.

Louis Walsh was originally sidelined in March as part of a move to refresh the format that also saw Kate Thornton dropped as the host. She was replaced by Dermot O'Leary.

Following his axing, Walsh was due to stay on and manage the winning act.

Holy crap! Wasn't expecting that.

Good move though.
