Oh my god. What the flip does this mean for BBLB?

And more importantly why do I care?

I believe he is already contracted for BB8 - the preview on channel4sales.com state Davina and Dermot are back - but makes no mention of Russell Brand who is believed to have quit - though that still hasn't been confirmed (or denied).

He'll probably do BB8 and that'll be it - he's already said he'd probably quit in a couple of years. However, going out on the road to cover the auditions and hosting BBLB six days a week isn't going to work, is it?

BTW - as much as I rate Dermot, I don't think he's worth replacing Kate over.

I really liked Kate and will find it hard to adjust to her not being there.

Oh well. If Dermot isn't back for BB8 that'll be two of their presenters wiped out.

Great news that Dermot's presenting it! Very Happy

If Dermot is presenting the next series, that's great, but as a previous poster has said, I will find it hard adjusting to the show without Kate.

Also, if the rumour about Russell Brand leaving BBBM is true, then I'm over the moon.

Im happy with the choice of presenter - I can think of far worse people they could have chosen!

I'm delighted that Dermot got the job. He was the one that I really wanted to get it out of all the names suggested. Thank goodness it wasn't Vernon or Cat!

Yes - Dermot will do a good job! Very Happy

What about his 1 vs 100 show? Will he still do that? I hope so as it is a mightily good quiz. Please do not let Dale Winton take over!

Isn't Alan Carr presenting BBBM this year?

Hmm, Dermot O'Leary... the British Ryan Seacrest?

I'm not saying he'd not be a great host but this show is trying to be more like American Idol every year.
