According to one tabloid newspaper today, Randy Jackson from American Idol is set to sign up to be a judge for the X-Factor.

Again, it asks the question, are we incapable of having our own judges?

All we need is Paul Abdul and Ryan Seacrest and we'll have American Idol with less talented contestants.

Broadcast are reporting that Dermot O'Leary has been hired as the new X Factor host

Dermot O'Leary has signed a deal with ITV for the next two series of The X Factor.

He said: "I was very flattered to be offered the job to host such a hugely successful show. I'm really looking forward to working with Simon and the team on the kind of Saturday night entertainment show I grew up watching."
