That was it. Couldn't remember if it was them or EMI.

I think one of the new judges should be a tv executive along the lines of Nasty Nigel... someone who cares about what makes good TV rather than the music side of things.

A proper tv executive who understands what makes good tv, not someone who has just bought himself the job.

Yeah, I bet she does! Proper little star now after doing late night phone in quizzes! She makes Ant and Dec look like a pair of unknowns! Rolling Eyes

X factor is a big show for ITV1, so I bet they will be looking for someone high profile to present the new series!

You've got a good point actually... 10 years from now and Simon Cowell could be Chief Exec of ITV. Shocked

Looking forward to finding out who the new presenter is, as long as it's not Ben Shephard!

Simon is saying in 'The Sun' today there is a shortlist of six people - Apparently it's a battle between Dermot O'Leary & Ben Sheppard. He's also still saying it was not his decision to get rid of Kate & Louis (neither of whom are talking to him) and infact he battled to save them. Yeah, right Simon. Rolling Eyes

Will it be a Virgin Mobile from Virgin Media type sponsership, surely they've got to get their brand in their somewhere.

Think you're in the wrong thread but I imagine it could be similar to Talk Talk, which stated it was "from the Carphone Warehouse" IIRC.

The best way IMO though would be for Virgin Mobile to be the brand used on all the sponsor bumpers, except for the last one which would link it back to Virgin Media.

Back on topic - as good a host that Dermot (and Ben) can be, I don't think they're so good they should have sacked Kate to make way for them.

And although it's crap and hardly the most exciting of shows to host, Dermot has got 1vs100 on BBC1 if it's been recommissioned for the Autumn.

Be ironic though if Dermot got the gig - in the early days of their career Dermot had a habit of nicking Ben Shepherd's jobs, ousting him from both T4 and The Bigger Breakfast.
