Welsh auditions were held in Bristol, Birmingham and Manchester (I think)

This week's wasnt as good as last weeks but I found the ITV2 Xtra Factor to get better each week and it was better than the ITV1 counterpart! At least Ben Shephard gets involved on ITV2 - you don't see any of Kate Thornton on ITV1 (which might be a good thing!)

Well it would be nice for them to come to Wales for auditions (im sure they have in previous years) especially Cardiff as its the capital.

Yes it appears Kate Thornton is little more than a voice over on these early shows. It isnt until the live shows that we see her do any presenting really!

Last years Welsh auditions were hilarious.I'm now under the impression Wales is full of nutters. < except you Jamez... Big hugs >

Nikitas audition was very touching. You could tell she was singing from the heart.

* Sobs*

Disclaimer:- I'm allowed to comment on the Welsh. My father is Welsh and he was MAD!! We all have our cross to bear Wink

Continuity on STV is getting more enthusiastic - including a Robbie Williams line into X Factor: "A welcome to any visitors to Scotland, now let us entertain you..."

Interestingly though there was no plug for The Xtra Factor at the end of the show in STV land. Presumably it was referred to on the ITV1 continuity at the end, as opposed to being in the programme itself. STV presumably deleted it as they don't own any digital channels. I presume UTV did the same thing.

There was no plug on ITV1 either. People probably know it's on without being told thesedays

So the categories have been revealed- if you don't want to know, look away now!

No surprises really that the judges have been given the categories they haven't had yet, with Sharron doing the Groups, Simon the 16-24s and Louis the over 25's.

More interestingly though is that according to Digital Spy the 16-24s will be "coached" by Robbie Williams, the over 25s by Elton John and the groups by Westlife.

Take That, Mariah Carey and Il Divo will all make guest appearances too.

Not sure about all this myself - I think it could take alot away from the actual finalists if the focus shifts too much onto the guests!

When was the focus ever on the finalists? It's always been about the judges. Which is why i preferred 'Pop Idol'.

Well hardly suprising that the judges have been given those categories.
