That bandwagon must be getting quite crowded now, mustn't it?

Oh give me a break!
Whatever the Americans do is obviously better. Hmmm I think not. The show's just fine at Fountain and takes over the building for all the time the show is in - that's how a show should be, with a real buzz about it. If it went to a huge venue like the 02 I fear we could lose some of this sparkle. And anyway, if they were moving it anywhere, surely the next door Wembley would be the most obvious choice?
I suppose this whole 'making the show' bigger and better might tie in with the Kate being axed stories though - if they're going to have a bigger venue, I can imagine them with more than 1 presenter.

Media Guardian are reporting that Simon Cowell wants to American Idolise the show further by switching the final from the studio to a venue such as the O2 Millennium Dome or Alexandra Palace and making it a "red carpet event" with a celebrity audience!
In principle the final should be a bigger event - just forget making it all about bloody celebrities!
And why just the final - it be interesting to see the show tour the country for the live shows - but that would probably make the spin-off tour less appealing!

People keep saying she has no personality? Well what do you expect her to do and say? The poor girl is probabaly very shy and nervous and it isnt a normal situation for her being on tv and singing in front of all those people. Give her a chance.

I love the way how when she discovered she'd won, she jumped at a loud bang and when being interviewed by Kate had paper on top of her head. No personality whatsoever but boy, can she sing!

I agree, she can't win with some people.
I like the idea of it moving to a bigger venue for the final, although I do think cdukjunkie has a point with it maybe losing some of its sparkle if this were to happen. I also read that ITV have given Simon Cowell a £20 million golden handcuffs deal, surpassing Jonathan Ross' deal with the BBC.
It's a lot of money but I'm a massive fan of The X Factor so if it means the show stays then I'm happy.

If it's just for Cowell's appearances it's a bit too much - but I think it's more to do with his production company, in which case £20m is pretty cheap!

Indeed, its also interesting to read an interview with Dame Edna (Barry Humphries) in the Christmas RadioTimes that Dame Edna wants no celebrities to appear in her new ITV show! The way things are, he'll have a fight on his hands.

Well, take a look at Ray and Eton Road as I have said before. Even when they weren't singing they had charisma on stage and when being interviewed. How can Leona appeal to everyone if she isn't going to engage with her audience. She is a trully sensational singer, and definately not something we have had in a long time, but the ability to appeal to her audience should also come with the ability to appear charismatic, in my opinion.

Yep not too bad at all for The X Factor, Britain's Got Talent and whatever other shows he dreams up in the next 3 years. Oh, and they have the man himself appearing in it all
