Leona won with 60% of the vote apparently.

Press reports today indicate that Simon Cowell has signed a three year deal with ITV to continue making the X-Factor. It's future seems assured for a while yet.

so We have X factor till Until 2010!

I have to be honset! I think this is the best of the whole talent shows in the past 10 years as it included groups, an Over 25! ,

don't you think there should also add in other acts aswell, like comday / magic? then its just like oppartunaty knocks

Due to various committments it wouldn't move from it's current slot, but I think releasing the single after Christmas would be better.

Anyhow, just reading Weavers Week and I've not seen this mentioned elsewhere but next year apparantly Cowell wants to stage 15 series across Europe and then bring the winners together for a final competition, World Idol, style.

Im not saying to move it from Saturday night, just change the start date of the series slightly.

I do agree that X Factor is far better than Pop Idol.

but where could there move it?

during Early summer most of the place where there hold aduction are empty, if you try any later i;m sure there busy with other things like business, shows moving it early have the same problems as well, trying to hold them at just after the new year, might attrack less people to apply! do you think the show could be a hit during Easter/summer?

Oh dear. No, it works best for both Cowell and ITV, especially since Cowell has commitments in America as well.

Wasn't Simon Cowell very critical of the World Idol format saying it made the winners feel like losers? That and Kelly Clarkson didn't win it of course.
