Well done to Leona but I reckon Ray will do much better and last longer! Very Happy

A poor series saved by the right result.

As I said she needed to do, she absolutely nailed A Moment Like This - all it did for Ray is show he couldn't sing!

( Another point on the production - the finalists shouldn't get the same song if it's not suitable for them! )

It's a case of thank god it's over though this year!

I hope that Leona does have a future - but so often even a talented winner can disappear without a trace.

Shayne Ward was supposed to be the British Justin Timberlake yeah - is it too early to issue a missing persons report?

Shayne Ward had an operation on his throat I thought, which is why he hasn't released anything else as he's temporarily not fit for singing.

Disagree that its been a poor series, infact I think this is the series ive enjoyed the most, especially the auditions and boot camp stages.

We had some good acts this year, the only thing that was wrong was MacDonald Brothers and Ray staying for so long and Eton Road going too soon.

I know some of my family who normally watch the show - didn't this year. They just watched the auditions and boot-camp stages.. but not the live shows.

I have watched it as normal however (but not every week!) and I think that its been an excellent series. Wink

I wish that Leona will be succsessful and hopefully get a Christmas Number 1. Cool

Leona does have amazing talent so it's no surprise that she beat Ray. I would have preferred it if, like last year, they had three acts in the final. Builds up the excitement a bit more.

And it's pretty obvious she'll be Christmas number one. It would be a laugh if she wasn't though.

I agree, because he is known already from playing Anthony Murray in Brookside. I hope they both are successful as i couldn't decide between them

An unbelievable final and a fantastic result! Leona definitely deserved to win and I think she will be the most successful artist out of all these X Factor/Pop Idol shows.

Simon Cowell certainly had lots to smile about tonight! What with 8 million phone calls putting money into his pockets and bagging the best ever winner of the X Factor, he has much to brag about tonight!

And so will ITV - this should easily be the most watched X Factor Final out of the 3 that we have seen, as Strictly Come Dancing's final is next week. So no head to head this year! At least 14 million viewers I reckon!!!

Yep the ratings must have been brilliant - if 8-9 million people just voted, imagine how high the figures will be!
