One thing Ray will have which Leona probably won't is local support - just as Scotland were credited with keeping in the McDonald brothers Liverpool got Ray through on Saturday night.

It's always much more difficult for a Londoner to get the local support others do - and the London based media often forget this.

True, but perhaps she would gain support if she showed any sign of having a personality. The girl is extremely dull when not singing.

Personally I'd be watching her sing, not too bothered about the interviews - not sure many people would be to be honest. I don't think interviews are included on albums are they? If not, then I don't think there's a problem Wink

You think the X Factor is purely singing? I PERSONALLY think charisma is important, which is perhaps a reason as to why Steve and Shayn both faded away; they were quite dull people, in fact very dull people. Ray is something different. If only they could pick somebody with more charisma. Which is why Eton Road should not have been voted out.

I agree about Eton Road - they should never have been voted out. I think they have a good chance of doing well once the series is over.

Steve and Shayne havent done particuarly well either, especially Steve. And Shayne ive not heard of for ages. The way they talked on the X Factor he was going to be the next Robbie Williams or something Rolling Eyes

^ and the fact he promised us, live on television, that he would not fade away and would make the most of his chance. What a joke.

There was a feature on the ITV Lunchtime News today saying Will Young and Girls Aloud are the only 2 to do really well from these reality tv shows. They said it is unclear yet how well Shayne has done as its only been a year but he hasnt been the star they made out he would be.

Remains to be seen how Leona and Ray will do.

Considering they can't sing to save their lives Girls Aloud have long out lasted their shelf life!

As for Shayne Ward - he got to sing the theme tune of a Hollyoaks spin-off - surely you can't get more successful than that! Laughing

Personality means everything in these contests. You're releasing manufactured material and you've got no credibility - If you want to survive you need to have a personality. Sadly Leona hasn't. She's got a decent voice but no personality whatsoever, so even if she does win I don't think she'll last long.

Ok, lets define 'personality'. Bitching about your fellow singers at a moment's notice perhaps?

I don't think people should mistake shyness for not having a personality. She seems a very sweet natured girl, who is probably bags of fun with her friends but hasn't really got much confidence when speaking in public. Of course this may be her downfall in the business, and certainly something she needs to work on. But I'd rather her 'personality' than Ray's any day.

Leona has won this competition hands down even if her name isn't announced as winner on Saturday. I think we all know who will have a greater career. I for one won't be buying Ray's Christmas Crooner debut album.

I presume they are after the Christmas number one again - a bit tight really with only a week after the final.

They did it last year as well with a nod towards American Idol again of each finalist preparing the same song to release (this year's is Kelly Clarkson's debut, whatever that was!).

I thought it was better in series 1 really where each finalist had a song of their own.
