But the titles are fantastic so I wouldnt want them to change.
Paula is ok, like Simon said its nice to have a bit of variety on the panel. I wonder if she will feature in future episodes or was it a one off?

Watching it now on ITV2 - the use of the logo in the auditions room looks fantastic - but we've got the same tired old titles again!
Paula Abdul is a bit pointless ain't she!

They are a good title sequence but I think it could do with updating. Keep the same idea, but add a few touches to make them look quite different - i.e. the blue background!

Oh yes they could update the graphics, but they should keep the theme tune!

That middle ground of people never make it as far as the cameras - I know 2 very talented singers who went along to the Manchester auditions and only got as far as the researchers. The thousands of people you see queueing up in the clips audition on a different day and in a different venue to the ones who get as far as the TV judges. I think the "mass" auditions took place at Old Trafford, whereas the filmed auditions looked a bit like the Lowry hotel - a venue which I know they have used in the past.

I know someone who went to audition in Bristol as well (they dont have auditions in Cardiff it seems
) and she didnt even get as far as the judges despite being a much better singer than half of those we see on the audition shows.

I guess you have to accept that it's not just about how well they sing - I can't honestly say if I think these 2 people I know have got popstar qualities even though they are both excellent singers.
We have to assume that the people who do the very first round of auditions know what they're doing and they're not just researchers (which I think is what I called them before!).
