MacDonalds are out and did you see the look of delight on Simon's face!

Well for the 3rd year running a group wont have won the X Factor.

A certain irony on how they've managed to avoid the bottom two every week and then when it becomes solely down to the public they finish last.

Their first performance tonight was their worst of the series - and probably the worst of the night (well, until Barry Mannilow sung!).

Leona was cracking, and though predictable I thought Ray was pretty good with My Way.

Ben's accepella was brave - but ultimately backfired!

On the whole though all tonight's show did was prove that the show is at it's best when the acts choose the songs, not the guest booker!

Ben's accapella was good however I did feel that it would have worked better with some instrumentation. It lacked Ben's trademark "power-factor."

The hot money is definitely on Leona to win it now. I worry that Ben has peaked too early, although in all fairness I think that both Ben and Leona will have deals and careers regardless.

Chico lost and had a number one record, Andy Abraham sells out the Royal Albert, and going right back to Popstars, Liberty X were the real winners in the end!

I don't like Ray though I'm afraid. He annoys me when he comes on the TV for some reason, but I agree with Sharon when he's panto-boy, and very much a one-trick pony. No versatility.

Leona deserves to have a successful career - she's the only one with real talent. However her downfall is gong to be down to the fact that she is the dullest woman on earth. Rolling Eyes

If she wants to last she needs to develop a personality, fast.

... and let's not forget Steve Brookstein, remember him?

Runners up G4 seem to be doing better for themselves than Steve himself, and were managed by Louis, so something tells me Eton Road might be appearing in the new year...

Steve Brookstine, who is that? LOL

I think he's playing or just played the Hall for Cornwall in Truro.

When you think Hall for Cornwall, think Truro's Womens Institute hall. With damp.

Ohhhhh how the mighty have fallen Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Watching the reapeat back today, great show as always - i cant help but laugh watching the technical staff in front of the stage suddenly curl up into a ball and hide as the crane comes past!

Ah yes, she is. I was shocked to find out Kate is 33. I had her down as early twenties and always thought she was very young. She doesn't sound that old.

I thought she was older myself, especially considering the work she appears to have had done this year!

She's been around a few years. Before Pop Idol Extra (which began in 2001) she presented a dating/cooking show called Dishes for C4 (late nineties I think) and was the youngest ever editor of Smash Hits.

I didnt realise she was 33 either. First I saw her was Pop Idol extra in 2001 and then 2003 so I thought she was mid to late 20s.

Remember, Kate Thornton was on Don't Try This At Home! before all this with Davina McCall on Saturday nights! So, Kate has been around for quite a while!!! Very Happy
