Personally I value Simon's opinions - although I disagree his motive with boring Ray singing swing every week, yawn.

I can't believe the McCrappald Brothers are STILL there. I mean, what show is this turning into when we get the public just voting to annoy a judge. It is a complete washout when things like this happen. They cannot sing - certainly not together anyway.

Would I like to see The McDonald Brothers debut single in the shops for Christmas? Get real!

Its a dilemma, maybe Simon should just work backstage in the next series and have a new judge in his place.

I dont know about anyone else but im getting fed up of Louis and Sharon and their arguments with Simon. It all seems so staged.

that bit at the end with Sharon with her feet on the table and Louis laughing at Simon while he was on stage with his two acts was particularly classless I thought.

I agree. Simon never behaved like that when Louis and Sharon have had 2 of their own acts in the bottom 2 in the past - Louis at least 3 times in previous series I believe. And at least Simon will vote out his own act unlike Sharon who refused to choose between her 2 acts in series one.

ITV's decision to move The X Factor to a later slot to avoid a head-to-head clash with Strictly Come Dancing paid off for both reality talent shows on Saturday night.

The X Factor drew an average of 9.2 million viewers between 6.35pm and 8.05pm, at a 40% share, with ratings peaking at 7.30pm with 11 million viewers and a 47% share, according to unofficial overnights.

Well let's face it - the whole thing is staged really. As soon as it was revealed both acts in the bottom two were Simon's, it was obvious Louis would choose one to go, and Sharon the other, leaving Simon to make a tediously long drawn-out decision as to which of his acts he'd send home. It's so contrived and predictable now.

In fact, has it ever happened with two acts from the same mentor in the bottom two that the other judges have chosen the same act to go home?

Me too, he is still the only one who is honest and usually unbiased. The McDonald brothers ARE boring, they've done exceptionally well to get this far but their time really has to be up soon.

Eton Road were terrible also, they play on that guy singing a falsetto section just as much as Ray plays on the swing. Incidentally we seem to be forgetting that Ray didn't do any swing for the first few weeks.

As for Simon's decision, no matter how much you dislike Ray, Nikkita's vocal performance was without a doubt the worst of the evening - that's not opinion - it's fact. So in that respect maybe it was fair she went. It's a shame - I liked the choice of song and I liked her performance but her voice just isn't ready. Hopefully for her sake she'll be able to improve over time, but I've worked with some people who can put on a great performance but just CANNOT pitch notes accurately; it's something you've either got or you've not. Like I said, hopefully for her sake it's just a matter of experience and training.

It's a real shame that Louis and Sharon are turning this personal - if anybody casts a vote just to annoy Simon then it really makes a total mockery of the show.

Usually Kate would ask one judge who wasnt mentoring the 2 acts first, then go to the judge that was their mentor to make sure they had the opportunity to choose. It does all seem staged. Yet again we are half way through and all judges have an equal number of acts left.
