A great performance from all the judges last night I thought. Simon in particular mastered acting like a **** to perfection. It's obvious from the weak set of finalists this year that they spend more time working on their little spats then they do working with their contestants. Rolling Eyes

I think it's pretty much accepted that this year's winner will have a career shorter than Steve Brookstiens!

Notice how the judges are hardly looking beyond winning the competition when commenting on performances, while in the last couple of series they focused more on their long term potential.

Leona, Ben and Eton Road would be the ones I expect to top each category. Leona would be my choice - but I wouldn't want to give Cowell the satisfaction.

I literally thought Simon was going to do his masterful march over to Louis and thump him last night. Shocked Laughing

Id rather Simon won than Louis. Simon is the best judge out of the 3 of them imo and we are still not hearing the end of it because Louis won last year so god knows what he would be like if he won 2 years in a row!

I think Sharon will win this year as its her turn afterall!

Simon looked like he was going to kill Louis.

I see "Sideshow Bob" aka Ashley was on GMTV this morning- god I have never heard so much fawning by Fiona Phillips in my life. The end was roughly...

" Well I cannot wait to see you again with your first album".

If she wants a album, that hopefully means nobody else does. Laughing

Hmm - weren't "themed nights" a feature of Pop Idol in previous years?

It seems they're doing themed nights depending on the guest who turns up/is available. We could have Sir Cliff Richard night soon Shocked .

Anyway, I'm sure Simon will let bygones be bygones this Saturday...

Apparently they're friends again now. As if they never were. Rolling Eyes

The papers really didn't care this week, Simon will have to think up a much bigger publicity stunt next week.

Which is why The X Factor was always superior - up until now!

As I've said throughout the series, The X Factor's strength has always been the different genres the contestants offer!
